I written a journal in FOREVER but I got pretty tired of seeing the meme I filled out down there, so I thought I'd write another!
How are you guys?
I've been kicking ass over here. I'm working on getting into shape, have my first Illustration job next semester working with my Art History Prof, and I've been spending TON of time on my tumblr. I've also been doing a little singing over at my SoundCloud and my Smule accounts.

Of Scanners and Phantom Explotions

It's been so long since I've submitted anything! I know! And there's a distinct reason for that! The main one being that I seem to have broken my scanner! Early last month I stepped on it, breaking the glass, I thought for sure that I'd ruined it beyond repair! Lo and behold! I just needed to replace the class VERRRRY CAREFUUULLLY! It worked fine for about two pictures... and then BAM, it goes all Warp Drive lines on me! Apparently, I have damaged some of the inside bits via the old broken glass pieces that go inside when I stepped on it. So! Unless I find a nice free day and use my parents scanner or until I get this one fixed or replaced, art from me will be slim as it will have to be done 100% digitally... thank god my tablet still works!

The other day I logged in and lo and behold! There were about 20 messages waiting for me! There have been around 8 faves and 5 collections on some of my Phantom art, not to mention at least a few comments! What I believe to be the cause of this is my joining of the group, #Phantom Phans. I'm thankful for any and all comments and faves I may receive but I really wanted to thank the people who have found me through this group! Thank you for taking a look at my art! You have no idea what it means to me and how encouraging this is! I appreciate this tremendously!
Now, if only I could get my scanner working! I could keep doing Phantom art! *laughs*
That's about all for now. School's got me really busy so any digital updates will be delayed as well.
Of Note: Tomorrow happens to be my birthday! =3 One year older again! I will be dressing in Phantom Outfit, as I have made this a costume party! Hopefully there will be pics to come, better ones than those I've managed to scrounge from my last dress-up extravaganza!

My name "michi-no", means "unknown", because when I joined DA I was an emo little kid, and liked to speak wappanese up the wazzu. I joined because I wanted to do something more professional with my art... and I wanted to comment-whore... it keeps me alive!!
2. What fandom were you obsessed with when you joined and what are you into now?
When I joined up, I was into making everything gay and Gundam Wing... and now I'm into being everything gay and Phantom of the Opera.
3. How many watchers do you have now?
43 people seem to be watching me... o.o I am sooooo damn lucky. Thank you guys!!! You're all nuts! Especially you... you know who you are!!!

Ohhhhh lordy! This is hard.... mostly because there are so many good artists... how do I choose! Hmmm. Well, dennoNel and the ever talented primatook, as well as Biskuits... and... gods! So many~! >o< ARRRRRG

A little of each, but I have a tendency to lurk. I'll fave most anything I love, but if someone has, like, a bazillion comments, I generally figure they feel loved enough without my input.

Not really. Up until very recently, I haven't felt like my art is anything that could come close to winning, so I haven't thought to participate.

Although it's been a while since I sat in front of the ol' Tube... I'd have to say House, Monk, CSI and NCIS, as well as criminal minds. =3 Nothing like a good murder mystery. ^__^ <3

Backgrounds and weird poses. Especially perspective with the human figure. Bird's eye shots and upshots from the ground.
And animals. I can't draw animals for shiiiz unless I'm looking at a reference.

Megan Gedris who draws Yu+Me and Lesbian Pirates draws such quirky characters and beautiful art! Her ability to change styles is something I'd like to find my own way of doing someday!

My name "michi-no", means "unknown", because when I joined DA I was an emo little kid, and liked to speak wappanese up the wazzu. I joined because I wanted to do something more professional with my art... and I wanted to comment-whore... it keeps me alive!!

When I joined up, I was into making everything gay and Gundam Wing... and now I'm into being everything gay and Phantom of the Opera.

I'm amassing something. A series of drawings of sorts.
I suppose I can mention it's Phantom related.
I'm pretty sure I'm insane for doing this, but that's alright because I was never particularly sane to begin with.
You can't imagine the immense satisfaction of drawing something and seeing it take shape on the paper! The way I'd like it to even! No longer do I hesitate like I used to. Even if I'm just copying what I see in photographs! I'm still drawing! Drawing!
